Everything you get here will be about life, the way I see it or the way you see it. No, I am not a story-writer, not even a philosopher. I am just myself, I am just any other average person. What I intend to give out here are facts. No , not scientific facts , but facts of heart and facts of life. Somewhere , somehow , you will find yourself or a friend or it maybe even be the story of the person you sat next to in the bus or train that day through whatever you read here. I don't write fiction , everything I write has been somehow felt by me somewhere. What I have done is just put those into words and fit them in characters. And thus I unearth my symphony of life...

The Perfect Reply...

The Perfect Reply...

The last few days had been awesome for them. Fun, outings, dates, movies and a lot of teasing. She was happy. A lot of surprises, gifts, but most importantly a lot of love , care, vulnerability and tenderness. Something that she had been missing until then was this love and vulnerability. Awkwardness almost disappeared after the first day, thus making the next few days the most wonderful days of her life until then. She was not bound in love, but she felt free in love. And for the first time she loved life, she loved herself and she wanted to live.  Live like she never lived before and love like she never loved before.

But he was there only for a few days. And then he would go back to his place, thousands of miles away. And none of them knew when they would meet next. He cancelled all his pre-planned schedules to plan his days with her. He sneaked out from friends' company to be with her.  And she missed her classes to be with him. However things did not last long and it was soon time to say goodbye. That last day was everything for them. The memories and moments of that one day was now there to live forever. They went out to a peaceful area, a historical place which was mostly deserted at that time of the morning. He lifted her up and seated her on a higher platform which encircled a huge tree. Standing on the ground in front of her, he hugged her.

They stayed like that, holding each other. Time passed by, and with each passing moment the fear of being apart once again became stronger. None spoke much. They did not need to speak, they just needed to be with each other, together. They stole occasional glances at each other, smiled and hugged again tightly. He was afraid of leaving her to be in a far off place for a time period neither knew, and she was afraid to let him go. Both of them wanted to stay in each other's arms as long as time permitted. But where was time? It was running away, slipping out of hand like sand. Fast and without notice. Suddenly she released him of her hold.

" I have got something for you..", she said and started hunting her bag to get something. He watched her in amusement standing there.

" I couldn't bring you something very big or beautiful. Just some chocolates and a postcard..", she told and handed over them to him. He smiled and took them off her hands just when she quipped " I have brought this one too.." , and handed him a key ring.

" Oh these are all for me?"

"Yeah..nothing much..but just small tokens of remembrance, of today, of us. I'm sorry I couldn't bring you something nice, but I promise I will, when you come next time.."  He let out a small low laughter. " But where will you put this key ring? Will you use it? ", she asked.

" Did you forget I have a bike? ", he quipped with a naughty smile and pulled her to hug once again. "Did you read the post card?", she inquired knowing that he hadn't and he then turned his attention to the post card releasing her. It read -

" I don't know if we'll be together forever but with a hope that one day I will be with you, I give you one of my favourite postcards. With a hope that I will once again see it and it'll once again belong to me, belong to us..I give you this..
I love you <3 "

He kissed it and put all the things in his bag. It was time to go. Both were ready to leave . Ready to live apart for an indefinite period of time. But both knew, this distance wouldn't separate their souls, their heart for now was one. They lived in one another, they lived for one another .

As they were just about to leave, she asked in a low voice " Will you forget me when you go back? "

He knew this wasn't the time to say anything. He held her in his arms, caressed her nose with his, smiled a little and then kissed her. And maybe that, was a perfect reply. He put all her doubts in a box and sealed it with a kiss.
